About VoltH2

At VoltH2 we are committed to combating climate change. We contribute to the European climate goals, which aim to drastically reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, with the ultimate goal of making the European Union completely CO₂ neutral by 2050.

CO₂ is one of the biggest causes of climate change, and by limiting its emissions we can make big steps. This requires a solution on multiple fronts.

Since fossil fuels are responsible for a large part of CO₂ emissions, there is a huge opportunity to reduce their use. This is where hydrogen comes in. Hydrogen is essential for many sectors and is produced on an industrial scale. Traditionally, this is done by splitting fossil methane gas, which is associated with a lot of CO₂ emissions.

At VoltH2 we opt for a cleaner and more sustainable alternative: the production of green hydrogen via water electrolysis. In this process, water is split into hydrogen and oxygen using electricity. When this electricity comes from renewable sources, the hydrogen produced is completely CO₂ neutral. This makes green hydrogen a crucial player in the energy transition and a key to a sustainable future.
